Our main goal with this site and our trips is to raise money for this non profit organization rickey bates bmx banned together . Rickey was a great friend who recently passed away in a car accident. His father Rick Bates has put together this great organization to learn more about it click here.

DeleteMichael has always been a big dreamer and Arden and I have always been the kind of parents that said if you can dream it you can do it. Most of us think of a bike ride as going around the block a few times or maybe doing a 40 or 50 mile ride if your a cyclist. Today is the day that Michael embarks on the ride of a lifetime. It's not just about pedaling a bike from Sanford Florida to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, that's the easy part it's about the journey, having time to explore, to see, smell, hear and touch new things. It's about second chances, finding a way to forgive, forget and move on. It's about having solo time for deep thought to fine that interperson that's hiding inside. It's about the people you meet along the way the story they tell and the story Michael shares. It's about all the things that you can imagine, so although Michael's doing the pedaling it's really about all of us not him and how we will use his experiences to make us better people. So as he sets out on his 25 day 1200 mile journey, Arden and I ask that you hold Michael close in your thoughts, hearts and prayers and read and comment on his blog he will need your support. Oh and did I mention pray for his safety.
